The Ark Littleborough

What makes us Magical

Separate Dining room

At the Ark dining is not only a nutritional experience but also an important social one. We see it as an opportunity for learning  important skills such as table etiquette, self-serving, sharing, self clearing and trying exotic new dishes together from time to time. The separate dining room also lends itself to exciting baking activities.

Sensory Room

Sensory rooms offer children rich and varied experiences enabling them to use their senses. The benefits of these experiences are huge and this room is a fantastic place for children to relax, develop social and co-ordination skills along with enjoying sensory experiences such as looking at different contrasts, colours and shadows on the walls.

Wet Room

Splish, splash, bubble, bubble, pop! The wetter the better – with a range of state-of-the-art wet and messy play activities, this room will be a firm favourite with all the children. Painting, pouring, squirting and squeezing all promote open-ended opportunities for extended learning. Come along and look through the bubble wall to see what’s going on!

Library & ICT suite

A good book can be enjoyed anywhere, but sitting in the library surrounded by books and your friends, whilst a practitioner reads you a story is a very special experience. Whether the children sit quietly or join in enthusiastically with a story, it all helps to develop concentration, co-ordination and comprehension skills. The library and ICT suite are also available for the Out of School and Holiday Club children to use – perhaps to finish off some school work or complete homework.

Extra curricular

We will be offering a variety of extracurricular activities, such as music and movement, dependent on interest. Please contact the nursery for details.
